The 2007 Institute closed successfully on July 14, 2007. On behalf of the University of Arizona School of Information Resources and Library Science and the Arizona Health Sciences Library, we extend our most sincere appreciation to conference attendees, speakers, sponsors and staff who worked together to make the conference possible.

The 2007 Institute focused on creating awareness of information resources related to the health issues of Hispanics and Latinos, showcasing best practices in libraries and information centers, and providing librarians, health information specialists and healthcare providers with the knowledge to improve services and health care.
The 2007 Institute presented a diverse array of regional and national experts in various aspects of health information services for Hispanics and Latinos. Plenary sessions included lectures, panel discussions and best practices. Breakout sessions offered participants the opportunity for more in-depth looks at specific topics of interest.
