BiblioTech is a student webzine by and for the students of the School of Information Resources and Library Science. It was conceived by former student, Lori Ito Hardenbergh to be a place where SIRLS students can sit around and talk about our ideas, opinions, and experiences as students of information. We see it as a forum for the discussion we would have over coffee between classes or (even better) over a couple of beers after class - if we all lived in Tucson and didn't have jobs . . . or kids . . . and had lots more free time . . .

The name of the zine, BiblioTech is meant to evoke our commitment to diversity. The word "biblioteca" in Spanish means "library," and one of the greatest strengths of our school is the way it recognizes the perspectives of Hispanic and Native American communities. The "tech" part speaks to the fact that we recognize the importance of technology in our field, whether we like it or not!

Editor: Erica Hanke

Contributors: Kevin McDowell, Will Ascarza, Virginia Sanchez, Traci Glass and Heather Phillips

Former Contributors: Ted Liebler, Amy Verheide, Georgie Donovan, Lori Ito Hardenbergh, Matt Cole, and Rebecca Hindman
