Student Reflections on Professional Conferences
Student Reflections on Professional Conferences will be held on Saturday, 9/30/06 from 2 to 6 pm (2:00-3:30 for the presentations, 4:00-6:00 for the BBQ). Conferences represented so far are: ALA Annual 2006 (New Orleans, LA), Living the Future 6 (Tucson, AZ), PLA Annual 2006 (Boston, MA)
The presentations will be in the Marshall Building room 490 (Just west of campus at the SW corner of Park and 2nd St – see here: http://iiewww.ccit.arizona.edu/uamap/staticLarge/158.02.html ); we will then walk to La Aldea Community Area for the BBQ (Euclid and University – see here: http://iiewww.ccit.arizona.edu/uamap/staticLarge/85.01.html ).
The BBQ is a potluck so please bring something. We will have someone at the Marshall Building walk the food over to La Aldea to keep the food refrigerated & fresh. Please also remember to RSVP here: http://arizona-lso.wikispaces.com/RSVP
We are encouraging distance students to make the drive down. If you can’t be in Tucson, but are interested in presenting virtually, please let me know. Contact Rebecca Blakiston with questions or your information if you would like to present.
Resume Consultations
LSO and Library Science Librarian Mary Feeney are sponsoring an afternoon of individual resume consultations for all current SIRLS students. Consultations will be conducted on Friday October 13, 2006 between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m, in room A314 of the Main Library (University of Arizona). Consultation times will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis so be sure to register early! Registration ends October 3, 2006. Jobs and Internships Fair in Phoenix

2nd Annual LSO Graduate Student Symposium
