electronic, WebDewey, is an iinteractive service available by
subscription (and free to LIS schools in the OCLC Education program,
although a logon is still required) through OCLC Connexion. It
provides access to the Dewey Decimal Classification scheme, which is
available through this service electronically or as a print product.
The Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) system is the world's most
widely used library classification system. The 22nd edition of DDC
comes in several convenient formats. The four-volume print edition
includes thousands of updates added to the system over the past seven
years. The electronic version, WebDewey, enhances the print updates
with online delivery that is updated continuously. And the Abridged
Edition 14, also available in print and online, is a simplified
version perfect for smaller collections.
